Honors For Owner Of Paramount Equity

Paramount Equity, was honored by buildOn with the 2010 Global Impact Award.  This award gives buildOn the opportunity to recognize individuals that are true global leaders.

“It is a real honor that buildOn would choose to identify me as a global leader.  The work that we have done with this organization has been life changing for me, but more importantly, life-changing for children here in the U.S. and abroad”, states Barnard.

Barnard was acknowledged for being completely committed to this cause and was selected for his business success and community contributions.  Barnard accepted his award at buildOn’s annual fundraising event, the buildOn Dinner.

The buildOn Dinner was held on May 19, 2010 at the Westin St Francis in San Francisco.

“This Dinner provides buildOn the occasion to celebrate the generosity of our supporters and the achievements of our programs, increase awareness and support of our mission, and raise critical funds to fuel our programs,” says Catarina Schwab, Vice President of buildOn California.

In 2009, five executive team members from Paramount Equity traveled to the West African country of Mali, where they broke ground on a children’s schoolhouse that they raised money to build.

The team consisted of Paramount Equity co-owners Hayes Barnard and Matt Dawson, Executive Vice President of Operations Michele Magee, Vice President of Sales Matt Hurych and Executive Administrative Assistant Kathryn Johnson.

The group spent eight days in Mali, living and working amongst the villagers. The schoolhouse is now completed and educates 150 children.
