Banana Slug String FREE Song Download
Just in time for summer camping weather, the award-winning children’s eco-music group, the Banana Slug String Band announces a FREE download of its song “Camper’s Lullaby,” through the month of August 2010.
“Camper’s Lullaby” is from the band’s much-lauded WINGS OF SLUMBER CD, which won numerous awards, including the National Parenting Publications (NAPPA) Gold Award and the iParenting Media Award.
The Banana Slugs are a foursome of musicians and educators from the coastal redwoods of Northern California who entertain and educate kids of all ages with an interactive learning experience that features, music, theater, puppetry and audience participation.
Slug songs feature vocals, guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass, harmonica and percussion and range from rockin’ boogies to sensitive ballads, acoustic sing-alongs and reggae to rap.
Their fun-filled performances also display their commitment to fostering positive attitudes about the environment, promoting music appreciation, building self esteem in children, supporting the arts in education and sparking a playful sense of wonder in all people.
The Banana Slug’s musicianship is as strong as is its message. The band has performed at hundreds of venues across the U.S. and Canada including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and the Monterey Jazz Festival.
